Using Advanced Finite Elements Analysis to study ‘in-box’ driver behavior, the Q-Series’ construction techniques were redeployed in a configuration more finely tuned to the specific parameters of ‘driver to enclosure’ interaction. Comprised of over 100 parts of aluminum, copper, and stainless steel, all affixed with over 650 fasteners in a calculated labyrinth of internal bracing, the Q7 provides the ideal combination of mass, dampening and rigidity.
A new three-axis matrix frame, copper decoupling levels, and a ‘floating’ midrange cavity yield the most effective multi-faceted strategy of eliminating the cabinet as a secondary acoustic source, making the Q7 a remarkable architectural feat.
In the constant pursuit of perfection, the new Q7 Mk II represents Magico’s leading edge engineering capabilities which allows us to surpass the superb performance of the original Q7.
The design and art form factor of the Q7 remains intact however the scientific research applied to the new Q7 Mk II brings forth radically new and cutting-edge technologies that are found in a newly designed tweeter and midrange driver along with state-of-the-art crossover componentry.
The Q7 Mk II represents a cost-no-object loudspeaker with limitless micro-macro dynamics, high-efficiency, extreme extension, re-defined transparency yielding performance from the faintest whisper to the most ear deafening sound-pressure levels while preserving an unheard degree of composure and fidelity.
The Q3 achieves a 90dB efficiency rating, setting a new standard for moderately-sized, full-range loudspeaker performance, by incorporating the Q design platform for ideally engineered loudspeaker enclosures with a new and remarkably efficient 7” Nano-Tec®driver.
Being very reminiscent of the larger Q5, one comes to expect that it is merely a scaled-down version of the same speaker. In many respects this is accurate; the MBe-1 high frequency driver, the continuous curve of our diffraction minimizing baffle, and the substantial collar-locking isolation foot are among the many things that the two models share.
Q1 As in most products, addressing problems with more precision allows us to carefully consider a broader range of demands.
In the Q1, compromises of form factor, mass, power requirements, and versatility were not necessary due to eliminating inefficiencies in common problem solving design principles.

Built around the renowned Q platform, the QSubs set new standards in low frequency sound reproduction. Capable of delivering 136 dB sound pressure level with less than 1% total harmonic distortion at 20Hz[i], the message is simple: if you think you have heard low frequencies before, think again.
The floor-standing two-way S1 incorporates an entirely new 7″ Magico Nano-Tec® Midbass driver with the same beryllium tweeter featured in the S5, making it capable of astonishing output. The S1’s new 7″ Midbass dualneodymium under-hung motor system with pure titanium voice coil-former is powerfully efficient and low in distortion.
As with all Magico drivers, the latest custom computer simulations are used to optimize electromagnetic and thermal behavior.
The S3 shares the same engineering heritage of its two siblings, the S1 and S5, and sits squarely between them. As with all Magico loudspeakers, the S3 is uses an acoustic suspension enclosure.
Its contoured extruded aluminum cabinet – the world’s largest monocoque enclosure at 16″ in diameter with 1/2″ aluminum walls – minimizes diffraction effects, internal resonance, and damping requirements.
The S3 utilizes the same advanced MB30 Beryllium tweeter and MB390 midwoofer that Magico uses in the S5, coupled with two newly-developed 8” woofers. These new advancements contribute towards the S3’s capabilities of delivering the lowest octave of bass performance combined with both the speed and accuracy we are known for.
The S5 is a loudspeaker we simply had to make. With our award-winning Q Series setting a new benchmark in fidelity, our next mission was clear: a range of value-laden designs to make Magico performance more accessible.
But how? A simplified version of the Q would have been the obvious and easy answer – but inevitably a compromise, and compromise is not in Magico’s philosophy. The solution was to design a new loudspeaker from the ground up that employs much of our Q technology. The result is the S5, successor to the venerable V3.
Towering over other S-Series models, the S7 is a full range, 3-way loudspeaker that incorporates new tweeter, midrange and bass driver designs which are derived from the engineering triumphs in the M-Pro loudspeaker.
The S7 houses three 10-inch bass drivers that have extremely powerful magnets and ultra-stiff aluminum cones which are capable of producing deep powerful bass frequencies with speed and accuracy. The excursion rate of the voice coil is measured at 15-mm linear movement and produces clean and undistorted sound pressure levels up to 120dB @ 50Hz / 1-meter.
Paying homage to everything Magico has built over the last ten years, we are proud to announce the release of the M Project, a limited-edition loudspeaker that encapsulates our spirit, our accomplishments, and our latest state-of-the-art technology that will – once again – set a new industry standard. With production limited to 50 pairs, The M Project will be uniquely positioned as a cornerstone for the most resolving and discerning music systems extant.
